does anybody know what in sam hill this guy is thinking??? Opts out of his contract when next year he is due 16.4 million!

Yeah. He and his agent said when he was at game 2 of the NBA finals he realized he wants to win it all. His main goal is to stay with the Clippers but if he can get a sign and trade to a team with a chance he wont' be upset.

If I played for the Clippers I'd be looking elsewhere as well.

I thought $16.4 million was the league minimum to play for the Clippers?? xconfusedx

That's what it would take to get me to play there.

After what K. Garnett and R. Allen did at Boston this year, if a player has ANY kind of marketable skill's, they are going to move off sorry team's and play as a 7th or 8th man on a championship caliber team.

Player's are not going to sit still in the name of loyalty on bad team's anymore.
They can make million's playing for any team.

Allen and Garnett was loyal to their team's for a decade and it got them nothing.

The new rumor is that Brand is opting out so that the Clips can go after Baron. They'll Maggette walk and get Brand resigned and Davis. Here would be a "rough" draft of their lineup

C Kaman
PF Brand
SF Thorton
SG Gordon
PG Davis

There would be some others besides Thorton at SF since he is more of a PF, but that's not a bad lineup right there.

I think Thornton can play SF, I haven't got to see him play with the Clippers. (They're never on TV) At FSU he was able to score a variety of ways.

I also forgot about Mobley at SG. They will be a good team, but it will be tough to go far in the West.

I don't know, they West is like the SEC, they look good beating up on each other. It's a tough conference, but this season Boston was truly the better team.
