14-6 Yale, Halftime
Yale's offense played pretty well in the first half. They had two drives start inside their own 10. The first time they moved into decent punting position and the second time drove all the way for a TD. Let's see if they can keep it going.

So far so good for Yale. However, last year we had a 14-0 lead at halftime against this same Lehigh team and lost. The Elis need to play a solid 60 minutes against a good team like this in order to get the victory.

I said last week that I'm very glad Yale has already played Cornell.
The thing that still worries me about Yale is they do not cover punts and kickoffs very well. I hope that doesn't come back to bite us.

1st and goal from the 4 and can't put it in. Disgraceful, but typical of Yale over the last 5 years. Very poor clock management on their last drive in regulation also. They didn't go into the hurry up offense until they had wasted a bunch of time. Then they end up on the Lehigh 40 with 4 seconds about 15 yards from at least a FG attempt (no guarantee, that's for sure, but at least you want a shot). Terrible loss.

Look like a few upset loses today with put Lehigh back inthe At-large bid picture, but we need to tke care of things in League play and hope for at least 1 Holy Cross lost.

Lehigh finally got a fire lit under itself in the second half and pulled out a clutch win that could be a springboard for the second half of the season. The big unknown is the seriousness of Borda's leg injury. Was put in aircast taken to hospital for xrays. Threatt came in and did a nice job running and hitting th short passes for the tying and winning scores. Only a soph. how much of the offense he can handle remains to be seen. But he does add an extra dimension with his running ability. A gut-check win for the Mountain Hawks. Down 21-6, they didn't pack it in.

Tough loss for Yale. Once again, we couldn't hold on to a two touchdown lead against Lehigh.
Another tough game next week and this one counts in the standings.....at Penn, where Yale hasn't won since 1990. It'll be a battle of the two first place teams in the Ivy League. Yale seems to bouce back well from defeats this year. Hopefully this trend continues next Saturday at Franklin Field.

Best of Luck to you! We can't stand the Quackers since they won't play us anymore. Your QB is very good. Stood in the pocket well, but lack of running game hurts.

Didn't look like either team had a running game today. Well, not until Lehigh found theirs in OT. Both teams had over 300 yards passing, but less than 100 rushing. Very similar stats.
Unfortunately, my prediction was almost dead on. At least as far as the score goes. I did not expect so much passing from either team.

Agreed on the run/pass ratio. I thought we came out and ran the ball well early, then got away from the ground game. We did run it well when we had to after Borda went down. You mentioned a lousy kicking game. Your place kicker certainly showed a strong leg in warmups and on extra points. Oh yeah, it was us, no surprise to us, that we missed the extra point (partially blocked).
