Beasley, Rose, Mayo or someone else?

Right now I don't know, any one of the three would help the Bulls, I guess I would go with Beasley right now. I can't believe (well I can, but I'm just saying) the K-State listed him at 6'10".

Timberwolves are expecting Mayo to be available at #3. Maybe they can make a good selection for once, or twice since Garnett.

There has been several articles in the Minnesota papers about the Timberwolves trading down to get Kevin Love. Better get a good player if they make the trade. xoopsx

ON ESPN, they are saying Miami is not high on Beasley and might trade, or draft Mayo. Wolves are high on Beasley, but Chicago has first say.

If the Bulls draft Rose they will/need to ship away some of their others for a low post scorer. Rose will make everyone better but he will need his Boozer/Stoudemire/West if the Bulls are to be successful

In the paper today, Beasley stated his height was 6'8.75", with the writer of the column questioning that he might be shorter.

I'm still going with Beasley, the Bulls need a true scorer on the block. Unless they make moves their backcourt is crowded as is.

The 1st 2 pick's are a wash.
Beasley, Rose, or Mayo is a good pick for any team.
BUT.........................xeyebrowx
Whoever pick's K. Love at #3 like they say, is going to have the bust of the draft.
K. Love is going to get ate up in the NBA and will disappear faster than BIG COUNTRY did.
I watched him in the Tournament and there is no way he's a top 10 pick.
Dude needs at least another year just to get NBA ready.

If I was a GM and someone even suggested picking him at #3, I would decline and pick one of the BIG Twin's from Stanford before I picked K. Love as my Big man.
Look like K. McHale is going to screw up again.xnodx

Chad Ford has Brook Lopez as the third best player in the draft. The T-Wolves could take him and have a formidable front line with Jefferson and Lopez

I have a feeling they are going to make some moves and draft Rose. Beasley is still young(19) and could grow more, but he is a tweener right now and is not going to be big enough to bang in the low post. He's got skills and would probably get 10 rebounds a night or so.
The things I've heard is that the Bulls should draft Rose and try and ship Hinrich, Thomas/Noah, and another player to the Clippers for Brand.(dream scenario)

I think even being a tweener if he's agressive he can get points inside, if he gets 10 boards that's a huge plus. The Bulls have enough bodies to bang around down low, but they don't have that scorer to keep the D off balance. Now if they get Brand then that would help as well.

Mayo to the Timberwolves. At least they took the best player available that wasn't in Jefferson spot up front.

I didn't follow American sports much this spring...but didn't Mayo make a big stink about how he wasn't going to USC for a 'one and done' type thing?

You are crazy. Love had a better combine in every category(speed, strength, jumping ability, quickness) than Beasley had. Love is easily the best player in this draft intangible-wise, and his athleticism has been SEVERLY underrated.

As Jay Bilas said about Brook Lopez, "If you're putting together a 400M relay team, don't draft him, but if you're picking a basketball team, take him"

I would have gone Beasley, but it's not like they got a stiff by choosing Rose.

Combines mean nothing.xlolx
Talk to me after K. Love have to post up against people like Ben Wallace, K. Garnett, Amare Stadamore, K. Boozer, J. Bosh, and Rasheed Wallace.
Tell me which one of those guy's he's going to take to the hole or guard.
If combines mean so much there would not be so many bust's in the sport's world.
Pick any Duke player that breezed through the combines and was considered a sure fire pick simply because he was fast and agile doing drill's

Mayo was just talking WHILE he was at USC.
It was known that Mayo was only going to USC because he had too get 1 year under his belt before he could be drafted.
That is the worst rule the NBA could have instituted.
A player that know he is gone after 1 year will take every dollar they can get while they in school.
Get ready for a lot of school's to meet the NCAA Rule's Committee because of this.
What incentive do a 18 year old have to say no to $25,000 if he has no plan's for long term tie's to a university.
A Highschool senior in Arizona is already talking about going oversea's next year instead of going through that farce of 1 and done.
You will see a lot of highschooler's going this route.

Well the Minnesota media is attacking Kevin McHale like UNHWildcats on the trail of a rumored Republican Scandal. Mayo going to Memphis for Kevin Love as part of a blockbuster trade. Wolves once again, Brandon Roy, Ray Allen, are trading away a top draft pick. They did get rid of some salary and players that wanted to be traded. If Love does pan out, the Wolves starting lineup could be:
Randy Foye
Corey Brewer
Mike Miller - From Memphis
Kevin Love - From Memphis
Al Jefferson

Here a link to the details of the trade.

Five hours after more than 2,000 draft-party participants cheered the arrival of new Timberwolf O.J. Mayo, their NBA hometown team made a midnight deal that reshaped its roster.
The Wolves dealt Mayo's draft rights along with Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker, Greg Buckner and their contracts to Memphis for the rights to Kevin Love, swingman shooter Mike Miller, forward Brian Cardinal and center Jason Collins.

Courtney Lee of Western Kentucky went to Orlando with the 22nd pick. Memories of Florida, great memories.... xthumbsupx
Would he have been drafted if WKU had not have made their Sweet Sixteen run?

If you look at the big picture, the Wolves got Love & Miller for Mayo, which is better than just Love I guess xoopsx

Probably not as high. Same with Joe Alexander and the Big East run. Even D.Rose might not have been drafted #1 if not for Memphis going to the Chipper

The Wolves absolutely fleeced Memphis, much like everyone does at trade times. The Wolves wanted Love the whole time, but they hung back and took Mayo, and then traded him for Love and one of the best shooters in the league and former ROY. Chris Wallace is laughable.
Lets not forget that Love was the #1 high school player in that class, and the Pac 10 POY over Mayo. Oh yeah, and he's a year and a half younger. Love is going to be a beast. Mayo is your classic tweener.
