I didn't vote in the poll because I don't think they should be sponsoring ANY NASCAR team. xnonono2x

Why not - the NASCAR fan base is one of their prime recruiting targets.

Why? Are you opposed to any recruiting advertisements by the Armed Forces?
Or are you a commie-pinko-wingnut-bleeding heart liberal that doesn't want the Army to recruit at all?
Or are you mad that the Navy didn't jump on it first?

Is NASCAR really that big with the 18-21 year old set? I thought NASCAR fans were a bunch of 35+ rednecks.... xeyebrowx xconfusedx

So, this answers the question then. WHY would the US Army bother with a NASCAR team....I would think it's hardly their target demographic. Honestly, I think they'd do better sponsoring UFC or something like that. THAT seems to be the big rage among teens and twentysomethings. xthumbsupx xcoffeex

I voted yes. As long as they get a good driver who can win or place consistently in the top three then I am all for it. BTW, I'm a retired E-7 (Army & Army National Guard) who drives a Toyota Tacoma.
GO ARMY!

I think in certain parts of the country it is, the south for example. Realistically speaking Commander, you've got quite a few NASCAR fans in the military. I think each service having a NASCAR that represents their branch is something that can build espirit de corps and add to a friendly rivalry among service members. Similar to the service academies playing each other in football.

I'm 25, hardly a redneck and been following NASCAR since i was little kid, my first race was in 1988. My father and grandfather grew up watching the Andretti's, from nearby Nazereth PA, clime the ranks. I have no problem with the US Army, National Gaurd, Navy, etc sponsoring racing. They've had a positive influence on the sport.

The four Toyotas in our driveway were all assembled in the United States, using parts made in the United States.
The Ford and Chevy in my neighbor's driveway were both assembled in Canada using parts made in Mexico.
Which family owns "American" products?
