Most people have searched their name on Google before, whether in fun or to examine their presence on the Internet.
Winnipeg's Donovan Alexander did a little search of his own earlier this week but bad news was all he got.
Alexander, a rookie cornerback and defensive-back who was trying to earn a roster spot with the National Football League's Seattle Seahawks, found out through the team's website that he'd been released.
"I thought I was performing well," said the 23-year-old, who was selected 23rd overall by the Montreal Alouettes in this year's CFL draft.
"I was getting some positive feedback saying that I was improving and doing well so I was definitely surprised when I saw it."
The 5-foot-11, 182-pounder, who played football for the St. Paul's Crusaders before starting at cornerback for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux, signed a free agent contract with the Seahawks on April 29.
