Divisional talk continues in the SLC. The divisions would be:

Division I: SHSU, UTSA, UTA, A&M-CC, SFA and TxSt
Division II: NW State, SELA, Nicholls, UCA, Lamar, McNeese

Biggest point of debate is Lamar/SFA with a possible flip every two years between divisions, but that's not too favorable it seems...

So we would have 5 division football games and you would only have 3?????? (if the answer is in the article, sorry I cannot pull it up)

This is NOT for football...

This is for everything else...

Basketball...
"Viola said if the division plan was enacted, the Islanders probably would host three teams from the East Division for games, and be on the road for the other three. The hosting duties would flip-flop the next season. It would give A&M-Corpus Christi 16 conference games in basketball. Along with the six games against the East Division, there would be home-and-home series with all members of the West Division."

So, home-and-home in divisions and the one game for other division (flipping home-and-home by season).

Baseball, you'd play everyone except one opponent. It's all up in the air.

FYI, full article is posted up on www.KatFans.com under "Around the Southland Conference"...
