Trying to pass the postseason by. What is everyone thinking about the SLC's chances out of conference this year? Any of these up for discussion?

I'm predicting a 13-14 record against Division I programs, 11-6 against FCS ones. Also predicting 11-0 against sub-Division I foes.

The games that were really a toss-up were Southeastern Louisiana's games against the UxDs, any game featuring Cal Poly, Northwestern State's hosting of Grambling and went with the Bobcat sentiment that Southern Utah is going to give them some sort of problem in San Marcos.

Solid picks though I don't see the league winning an FBS game. I think four or five games may be competitive but I don't see any wins.

The games in bold are the ones I think are winnable for the opposition but should go TTs way anyway. I love those 4 matchups and will be listening or keeping tab on those games. (or at them if possiblexthumbsupx )

The league has a nice history against FBS.

I just think New Mexico State is awful, it's Nicholls State and that option is going to be tough. It's a very comparable foe to what Nicholls beat last year in Rice. If anything, NMST is worst than Rice IMO.

UNC vs McNeese is another story. Would be great to have, but may be a bit tough to achieve...

McNeese's Cowboys thank you for your vote of confidence. They ask that you make 90 signs that say "kick me" and tape them to their backs as they walk out of the locker room every week...

Having seen New Mexico State up close and personal for the last two years, I can tell you Nicholls will have their hands full trying to slow down Hal's Air Raid. He's in year number four with all of his own players and has just about everything back, including Chase Holbrook. I think Nicholls can hang around for a half or so like we did but they'll be sucking wind by the second quarter due to the altitude and dry heat. NM State had a ton of injuries last year that killed the second half of their season, but they'll be a much more formidable opponent for Nicholls than Rice was last year in the opener.

i still believe the bobcats have a shot at beating smu this year. june jones wont have built his team yet.

as for the SUU we better not lose to them again. although the way they played against some good teams last year it might not be as embarrassing.

I think this year's North Carolina team is the most beatable BCS league team McNeese has yet played but I would not pick McNeese to win. It's be nice but I wouldn't make that pick.

I think that the GWFC/Southland games will be great games. I am looking forward to seeing Cal Poly play McNeese State and wish I could make it back the following week to see them take on Northwestern State.

Cowboys will not take Delta State lightly. (I'm sure the coaches know how they fill their roster)

NOPE

And it won't be close.

McNeese has something to prove after our 06 coach firing game.

Speed!

Hey Slo..

I just arrived in SLO...

I'm going to try looking around the campus if I have time this week.

I have a co-worker with me on this trip so I'm not in total charge of my time.

Slycat, dont let SMU fool you. I had the same confidence two years ago when SHSU played SMU with Phil Bennett as coach and we got pasted. They are more big and physical than you will think. Now add in June Jones offense and you could be in for a long day.xcoffeex
