They're investigating whether this is the top Div II attendance of all-time at an on-campus site. There's no official numbers on it. Obviously, there's some big game attendances for Pitt St-NW Missouri and some other Div II games at neutral sites.

The 16th-ranked West Texas A&M University Buffaloes pulled out a wild and wooly, 52-51 overtime victory over border-rival Eastern New Mexico University, Saturday night at an overflowing Kimbrough Memorial Stadium. A Lone Star Conference and stadium record crowd of 22,993 watched WTAMU claim the Wagon Wheel in its Homecoming Game. (courtesy of GoBuffsGo.com)

This is in far west Texas (Canyon) and that's incredible. They play at the second largest stadium in Div II football. Wish we could draw that many at I-AA games in Texas. They had 14,000 for a game against A&M-Kingsville prior. The other two games in the stadium had 8000 and 9000 roughly...

I would take these guys into the SLC...

Which SLC schools wanna travel to Canyon, Texas? None I'm sure! With UCA and A&M-CC, traveling is about to get a bit more difficult...

SELA is looking at 10 hours to A&M-CC.

I was at ( along with most of North Dakota) a NDSU vs. UND game in (I believe 2000) that had 20,000 + or - in attendance. Largest crowd ever to see a sporting event in the state.

Wow. That is so hard for me to believe. We had that many at some of our HS playoff games when I was in HS.

Remember it's North Dakota. Not much population to draw from.

Pretty impressive. The stadium obviously has the ability to hold even larger crowds than the 23,000 that was at this game.

I was told that West Texas A&M was once DI but moved to DII.
