UD is at 10,849 seasons, they only have to sell 311 more to break their all-time record!!

I finally broke down and bought season tickets. Surprisingly, I got three nice ones in Section C.:)
It's sad to say, but Edgar Johnson's complete incompetence with getting tickets to Chattanooga for UD fans last year may have actually boosted season ticket sales, because people don't want to be on the outside looking in while STH's are scooping up the measley couple of thousand seats he requests.
Then there's the new points/donation priority seating placement system. I figured I may as well start getting my seniority built up. You gotta start somewhere. It may be the only way to get a foot in the door as the program continues to get bigger and better. I figure there will be a huge upswing for 2009 after the new stadium plans are unveiled this Fall.

East side is sooooo much better than the West stands. That's where us common folks sit. You should try to switch to the East stands unless your a complete snob, 65 or older, drink wine & eat cheese at your tailgate, get angry at people for yelling too loud, and hate the sun. :D

We're picking up 7 season tickets. UNI only sold 2,000 or so last year.

I would do a happy jig if NDSU sold 10,849 season tix. We're close to that, but not quite there yet.

Congrats. JMU has also broken its season-ticket record back in May, although our record is only at 4,327.

Sad, isn't it? I would guess we see a large increase this year.

Very nice...
goasu.com ran an article last week saying that season ticket sales are up 67% over last year, which had been ASU's all-time record in season ticket sales.
As for me...300 miles from Boone, regular Sunday a.m. responsibilities, first baby due in November...I might have gone too far with just my partial season tickets.

So what is ASU's actual number? All I ever see is the percentage increase. If you already had, say, 10,000 and now you're up to 16,700, that's pretty damned impressive, but if you only had 5,000 and now you're up to 8,350, that's not nearly as impressive for a school that's been hot the last three years.

There was an AP article in USA Today last week that gave a figure of "around 10000."
The blessing and curse at ASU is a stadium with 17,000 seats and a 28,000 capacity. Season tickets haven't been a "must-buy," simply because it was always possible to get tickets the week of the game. Even if all the seats were taken, they just keep selling standing room seats and grass seats, etc. Last year, after 28,000+ showed up for a DII game, they started capping sales.
With sell-outs probable, people actually need to purchase season tickets.

Fall 2007 enrollment totals 20,342 which include 15,983 undergraduates, 3,405 graduate students, and 954 professional and continuing studies students.
