Nice feature on McNeese's old defensive machine, Bryan Smith...
Weighty issues don't stop Smith
Eagles DE makes up for lack of size with fast feet

PHILADELPHIA -- The smile widened on Bryan Smith's face when talk turned to the scale.
"I weighed in today at 241," the Eagles rookie said proudly during a recent minicamp. "I'm gaining weight."
What right-minded defensive lineman would be giddy about carrying the body weight of an NFL linebacker?
At 241, Smith is smaller than middle linebacker Stewart Bradley by about 15 pounds and more than 20 pounds lighter than strong-side linebacker Chris Gocong.
