Authorities are investigating the death of former Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Tom McHale, who was found dead at a friend's home in Wesley Chapel, Fla. He was 45.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said McHale was found by his friend early yesterday in the Tampa-area home. Authorities said foul play was not suspected. An autopsy has been scheduled.
A former Cornell star, McHale played in 21 games for the Eagles in 1993 and '94, starting a handful at offensive tackle. He also spent six seasons with Tampa Bay and a year with the Miami Dolphins.
