Wow. Doesn't Boise St have quite an impressive home record at the smurf turf?

Would like to see PSU to keep the lead, but I'm sure a lot can still happen. How far in the game are we?

Wow, there has really been some good games vs. IA teams this year. Hopefully the Vikes can keep this going, or at least make it close.

Game is on ESPN GamePlan, but Comcast Portland did not pick it up. Listening to the radio. Teams exchanged punts. About 12 mins left in the half. PSU 7, Boise 0.

30,000 fans and there are some boos already.

Boise is out of the rankings. They fell after their game against Oregon State. A little over 6 mins left in the half. PSU punting and pinned Boise at their 5. PSU 7, Boise 0.

Rubin has 120 yards so far.

No, i think they may be down a bit this year

They were in SI's pre-season top 25 (about 15ish). They are pretenders, there is no doubt about that.

Is anyone watching the lastest? Did we not stop Zebransky on the 4th down sneak? We intercepted and called for roughing the passer? From the actions of our radio crew, they are speechless. 5 mins left, PSU 7, Boise 0.

Boise scored on 2 yd TD run, 1:15 left first half PSU 7, Boise 7.

Boise helped by a questionable spot on a Zebransky sneak on 4th and 1 from their 14 giving them a first down and an equally questionable roughing the passer penalty negating a Viking interception. Did not say this would be easy.

Boise really is not showing any respect towards us. Boise used up all their time outs as we tried to run out the clock, forcing us to punt. Zabransky intercepted and we return to the Boise 12. 3 plays later, we hit Bodiford, TD, PAT good, PSU 14, Boise 7.

Boise tries a long FG at the end, no good. Halftime score---Portland State 14, Boise State 7.

Perhaps they are showing you plenty of respect. They are worried if they don't get a big lead going, they could lose the game. ;)

Good game PSU, that would have been a nice upset. I'm glad PSU is playing in Missoula this year. It's still going to be a tough game.

Thoughts after the game...

Boise holds on for its 27th straight home victory. The 21 points is the lowest total for a Boise team during that home streak (previous was against Fresno last year---27 points). Boise did not take their first lead until 8 mins left in the game. Nothing for the Vikings to be ashamed about, we represented the Big Sky and Portland State athletics well in this game. Boise has a history of scoring points at home (66, 69, 60, 58, just during this streak).

Would have been nice to steal a win. As it is, we need to win out in order to make the playoffs. We still play most of the Big Sky opponents, including Montana and Montana State. Did not say this was going to be easy.
