Randolph, Mass. – The National Football Foundation announced its Jack Grinold Eastern chapter scholar-athlete award recipients for 2008 and Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football Tim Murphy was among those honored at the event.

Murphy earned this year’s Ron Burton Distinguished America Award, given to a former football player who has carried the lessons learned on the field to his larger community. Murphy joins an impressive list of Harvard gridiron figures to earn the award along with Joe Restic, Dick Clasby and Gerge McDonald.
