Former University of Massachusetts running back Matt Lawrence must have had a good tryout at Lake Forest, Ill., last weekend.

The Chicago Bears have assigned him No.46 and have added him to the active roster.

The Bloomfield, Conn., native was the top tailback for the Minutemen last season, rushing 318 times for 1,680 yards and 16 touchdowns.

I'm hoping for Benson to get cut so that makes two FCS backs on their team along with AP the first

That's awesome for Matt. I could see him getting some good yards for the Bears in certain situations.

what ever happened to Baylark?

I believe he's on the Cardinals' practice squad.
