Being a finance person, I can side with you ...APR is average percentage rate ...and nothing else. Kind of like USA. It can only mean one thing.

I'm with the finance folks as well. But here's a little info on APR as it pertains to the NCAA:

APR is the Academic Progress Rate. Measures progress towards degree, and does away with transfer issues that plagued the graduation index.

Isn't APR, Annual Percentage Rate not Average?
Anyways, the NCAA uses the acronym to show whether or not schools are actually getting scholar athletes and not merely athletes that play for a school. I think 925 or 92.5% is considered minimum.

925 is the target cutoff (it is not a percentage), and equates to a 60% graduation rate. Schools with lower ratings avoid sanctions if their rate exceeds the general student body.

Somewhat suprised that Lehigh is that "low". But given the fact the 3 largest football schools in the PL are all at the bottom i think reflects a little more diversity at those institutions.

Don't back down, OL FU. Good scores or not they are still bastards and if they had to support an equal level of football they wouldn't have scored that highly. Everything Davidson does is open to suspicion as far as I'm concerned.

Before we begin to look like a bunch of dumb jock (watchers), here is what we are talking about:
APR (within the context of this thread): = Academic Progress Rate. It is a calculation intended to "track academic success" by focusing on "eligibility, retention and graduation." Obviously, the higher the number, the better job you theoretically did in providing your athletes with an education.
By the way, financial wizards, within the context that you are used to seeing, APR does not mean Average Percentage Rate. It means ANNUAL Percentage Rate.
