We really need rain here in the east so I'm not complaining. It can change the nature of football games too, which makes it all the more fun...

U Got Dat Rite !!!

"Let it Rain...Let it Rain....Let it Rain Rain Rain"

This UMass/NU game should be real interesting if the deluge keeps up. Whichever team holds onto the ball will have the advantage.

UH-oh, they are playing a game at URI and it is raining. Maybe another water polo game will result. ;)

It's gonna be great! I love bad weather games.

McGuirk Stadium is a real mud bowl in bad weather. The UMass press guide proudly states "The truf is pure Merion Blue Grass laid over four inches of loam and a 10-inch sand base"

That was in 1965! The stadium was build on a swamp. That ten inches of sand is halfway to china by now...

Mud. Football. Don't get any better than that. :)

The only good thing about UR stadium is that the field is amazing. That grass can take a hurricane and still be playable.

Your quite right DT. The field was in excellent shape today even with all the rain down there in the last 24 hours. At least the rain held off during the game. :)

Congrats on the win as well.Spiders played a very good game.

Tubby Raymond Field was not fit to play on. And that was before we got two full days of rain.

Good thing we're home the next two weeks. :(

One inch here, two inches there,,HELL we had 4 1/2 inches just this afternoon, after 5 inches last night--all time record of 9.65 inches in Lehigh Valley in 24 hour period. After being in the dumps the way Lehigh slip slided away today, I get home and have to water vac the family room downstairs--of course, I also thought of those in AL, MS, and LA who are devasted and all of a sudden the day didn't seem as bad...

Thanks Charlie. I couldn't make the game but was happy to see (well actually hear) us put up some points.
