They win in a variety of ways - behind their pitching..!!!!
I've never seen so much young talent on one squad
My Brother and I watched the ESPN Baseball game tonight and discussed...
The Diamondbacks came up a lot

There is just so much to talk about with this team - Hell even mellow Bob Melvin came up... as the right guy for these kids

I actually saw a D-Back game on t.v. the other day for the first time this season (the Peavy/Webb game). From previous years i knew Webb was good but his stuff looked downright ridiculous in that game.

It's a fun team to watch. The D-Backs are the team I watch most frequently on MLB Extra Innings.

They're mah 2nd favorite team, so I like to see them do well. Especially when Grace got a championship with them. :) Had an Aunt that lived in Phoenix, went to a game with her a few years ago. Definitely a cool stadium.

edit: But go back to the purple unis, I don't like the red. :(

Randy Johnson (4 IP, 9 H, 6 ER) was roughed up early tonigh, and left with the Dbacks losing 6-3, but the team pulled it out in the end. Arizona becomes the first 20 win team this season, and is looking very tough out of the gate! xbowx

So....Diamondbacks are 17-5 against the NL West....6-10 against the rest of the NL. Hmmm.....not sure if we should read anything into that or not at this point. Either:

A) The Diamondbacks aren't as good as we thought they just had a hot start, and thus the NL West isn't as BAD as it appears right now, or
2) The NL West SUCKS, and they'll get rolled in the playoffs, or
iii) It's a little bit of both, and they're just coming back down to earth after a very hot start...

Bullpen issues are rearing their ugly head right about now....Qualls was untouchable for the first month of the season....looks rather pedestrian now....as do Pena and Cruz. Thankfully it's a marathon, not a sprint. xcoolx xcoolx xcoolx
