They should have just thrown out spring football...I mean, not having an indoor facility. Shame on them! xlolx

How is that 2010 out of conference slate coming, MplsBison? All home games indoors for NDSU?

I hate fake grass.

SD State will be installing artificial turf just like all the other DI schools in northern climates.

I don't care of you have a college of agriculture on campus, you just can't keep the grass in good shape.

Turf it will be and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Turf wouldn't have stopped the snow.

Turf wouldn't have stopped the snow.

But unlike grass, snow can simply be pushed off the surface and it will be just as dry as if it hadn't snowed.

Impossible with grass, which would be wet, slippery and dangerous.

now I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that turf still gets wet when it rains (or snows).

now it might not get as slippery as real grass, but it doesn't magically stay dry.

The point is that there was 12" of snow in Brookings so the game was likely to have been cancelled regardless of the type of field.

I do think SDSU either needs turf or to stop letting the high school play on its field. I would much prefer them to quit allowing the high school to play on it.

Cancelling it I can understand due to the snow but re-scheduling it for a Wed???? Wow won't that kind of kill attendance?

You should have contacted Gene Taylor (NDSU AD) and brought the team up to the Fargo Dome. You could have played after our spring game. We could have tailgated together!!xthumbsupx

They could also have brought the Dakota Marker with them so Bison fans could take a look at it. xbawlingx

Hard to have a spring game when there is no spring.

We have to let them win once in a while to keep up the appearance of a "rivalry".
