I don't play NFL video games anyway so that won't be so hard to take. When J.J. Redick was on the 2007 version of College Basketball and that was hard for me to buy. I hate Duke with a passion. Being from KY that is a given. xnodx

I got Madden 2009 last night for PS3 and all I can say is wow it looks incredible on my 47' LCD. The graphics are much cleaner and more realistic then my NCAA 2008 that I though was unreal. More importantly is that the players move very smoothly and realisticly and the game play is great. Very well done xthumbsupx and really much superior to the NCAA offering unfortunantly.

I was playing Madden 2009 on the PS3 at a game store yesterday. What a freaking joke. Its almost the exact same thing as NCAA 08. Same defensive schemes, same offensive plays, what the hell is the point?

Oh, and the stupidest feature ever. REWIND. I didn't know what it was, but logically thinking, it would be a replay feature. So I scored a touchdown, pressed the button, and the f--ker wanted me to re-do the same play over???? LAMEST FEATURE EVER.

You can disable replay feature, and you only get one a game anyway if you play at the normal level. NCAA 08 and Madden 09 are night and day, NCAA has herky-jerky movements and boxy looking graphics. Madden is smoother and very realistic. Also the players are lightning quick and one mistake makes you pay severly majking it more realistic overall. Also the background graphics are much crisper. The field itself is just amazing. When you load the game it actually downloads new software to the PS3 as it is needed for the game improvments.

The game play is better IMO. Now it is not drastically different then last years product perhaps, but still a very nice step forward for one year. I dont not buy the game every year, but I do think it is worth it if you dont have last years model.
