The 2008 Georgetown-Howard game has been known for a while, but the two schools have announced a four game series through 2011.

Georgetown already has a pair of series with Yale and Old Dominion, each going through 2012. Not sure about a series with Richmond which starts this year, but that's at least nine games set for the next four years.

Now, getting back to some winning seasons is the next challenge.

Nice local rivalry could develop. Something like Stonybrook - Hofstra. Sounds great !

I've been reading Tony Moss' Season In Purgatory (http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fastore.amazon.com%2Fcsnlog-20%2Fdetail%2F080325959X&tag=csnlog-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325) recently, and I just finished reading the chapter where coach Talley complains to the local media about how under-represented the Penn/Villanova football game was represented. Here's hoping that the Georgetown and Howard SID's have read the same chapter - and here's hoping that they can drum up more hype on the game than Penn and Villanova are able to do. xthumbsupx

I'm looking very much forward to this game. xthumbsupx

Does this mean the end of the Marist series? Been some great games between the two...

what a great book.. i've read it twice.. and i think that the Penn Villanova game is always a great matchup... and in 06 there were probably 20,000 people at franklin field and about half were Villanova people.. it was a good environment.. I'm not sure that will happen with howard and gtown

If both teams improve, the local alumni alone could start a buzz that the local media would have to hear. Of course, the key word here is "improve". It kind of reminds me of the Steve Martin routine: "How to make a million dollars and pay no taxes. First, you make a million dollars..."xlolx

I mean Georgetown seems to be getting serious about football i don't know the real truth to that.. but Basketball is far too important at our schools for any other sport to come close
