He got more money than Dwight Freeney did. The Chiefs really made out like a bandit on this deal. They got another 1st round pick and two other draft picks. KC has 13 picks as now.

I can see Freeney holding out now. Good for Jared though. Hope he lives up to this contract. KC got what they wanted. They can start dang near from scratch and rebuild.

Allen is a much better player than Freeney. Freeney is one dimensional and injury prone.

ABC is reporting Allen will now be the highest paid defensive player in NFL history.

Allen's a good pass-rusher, but there's no way he's worth the most money of any defensive player in the NFL.

Now the chiefs need a new Defensive and Offensive line.. I expect them to load up at those positions this weekend..
