Where do the AFA, Navy and Army get their squads from? Have heard they "borrow" them from nearby colleges often times smaller colleges...

In the case of the Air Force, I can tell you, they're prostitutes.

Say that all cheerleaders are enrolled cadets

couldn't find anything at west point, I did find an article, the person interview was the head of the "rabble rousers", Cadet 1st Class Paula Kirchen, so I guess they are active cadets too.

I normally wouldn't have spent any time on this, but I found it interesting enough to go look it up. :)

I did remember that the Citadel got cheerleaders from other local colleges (and I believe a some come from CofC)...but I found this interesting...

(august 1999 article in some cheering magazine...also, a great article on frizzy hair solutions :D )

Breaking Barriers

With its first female cadet, Nancy Mace, graduating, the Citadel isn’t a school just for guys any more—and now, neither is its cheer squad. For the first time in school history, female cadets—freshman Andrea Chouch of Myrtle Beach, SC and sophomore Laurie Auger of Citrus Springs, FL—will join the Citadel team when they take the field next season. The Bulldog squad has been coed for almost 30 years, but female members previously came from the Citadel’s local sister schools. "I’m really excited about next year, bringing new girls in and recruiting girls to come to the Citadel to cheer," says Coach Jen Bradberry. "It’s going to be great for the program."

I had heard The Citadel used CofC cheerleaders too. Maybe sometimes in Charleston Southern. Not sure who VMI uses?

From www.citadelsports.com
The Citadel Cheerleaders

An important group within the college is the cheerleading squad, whose job is to lead the corps in vocally supporting our varsity football and basketball teams during games. Tryouts are held in the spring and early fall. During the football season the cheerleaders organize Corps pep rallies preceding home games. On occasion, the squad competes in the NCAA Division I Championships. Coach: Brittany Myers.

Didn't find anything on the VMI site.

And I heard that at West Point they're all the players mothers.

There's an Air Force base in Tucson. Based upon what I've seen, you'd be surprised at the cuties who are serving, both officer and enlisted.

The academies are HUGE on their cadets engaging in athletic activities, be it varsity, club or intramural sports. I imagine the cheer squads are just another way for female cadets to fulful that requirement.

I had to reread that twice. :p

The first two times it read to me like: 'you'd be surprised at the cuties who are serving both officers and enlisted.':o

Damn, 13, dirty minds think alike! A well-placed comma makes all the difference. Chalk one up for that PL education! ;)

Kind of. But, you have to keep in mind, that when we are called upon to strike an enemy, we do it better than anyone in the world. That's all that matters.

I have had a few girlfriends who attended USMA, you actually have to pass a somewhat difficult physical fitness test to get accepted, so you know that any female cadet is gonna be pretty fit, but not all of them are pretty.
