Chipper Jones has left the Braves game with an undisclosed injury.

In other injury news: Jimmy Rollins headed to the DL. That's bad news for the Phillies, who look totally different without him and Victorino in the lineup.

Immediate word from the Yankees is a quad strain for A-Rod. He'll likely be considered day-to-day (like Jeter was a week or so ago). Probably means 4-5 days out of the lineup, although these kinds of things can obviously be fickle

Even so, A-Rod was already scheduled to take a day or two off as his wife is expecting a child in the next day or so

For the JRoll comment, that was a big mistake/misjudgement by the Phillies organization. If he was too injured to start for two weeks, don't keep sending him out there to pinch hit. Now they can only make the DL stint retroactive to yesterday (though I'm a Mets fan that won't complain on either injury).

I was thinking the same exact thing re: Rollins & the Phillies. I guess it doesn't really matter too much though if he needs 15 (or more) days from today to get that ankle healthy.

Chipper had a knot and had a hard time getting loose today, probably not more than a one day injury...

.... Washington coming to the ATL tomorrow facing Hudson who owns them and then Smoltz who owns pretty much everybody. My guess is that Chipper sits tomorrow night and is back no later than wednesday.

BTW, the sore leg is the only thing slowing him down lately, my goodness is he raking or what?xeekx
