So will this be the excuses as to why he didn't win the Masters? Or won't win the US Open?

Not from him but maybe others will make that excuse.

Agreed.
This is a good time however for this to happen IMO. Players is the only decent tourney following the Masters until the Open. Maybe the Memorial, but with NHL and NBA playoffs going, this won't be a big loss.

If it was an excuse, we would of heard about it well before the Masters.
Just goes to show how tough he is by competing at such a high level. Even with a bad wheel he finishes second vs the world's best players on a difficult course.

The only golf I hear about is usually on ESPN but I would guess Tiger wouldn't give excuses for anything but I am sure Tiger supporters will give any and all excuses for him not winning every tourney.

Might not wanna overlook this one.

Great course, great field, and Merecedes for courtesy cars. I would love to win our Section Championship just to get in the field. Forget staying in Charlotte, I'd drive that mother up and down the mountain each dayxlolx
Woods, Furyk, Singh, Toms, and Sindelar are the past champions.

You are right and I chose my words poorly. The Wachovia is a great tourney, but does not really have much appeal around the country IMO.
I'd have to imagine your section is pretty stout when it comes to players. Ours isn't bad, but I'm sure the Carolinas is better.

Why didn't he have surgery in the off-season?
Not sure when the knee really started hurting but you can't really argue that he has done wrong the past 8 months. Look at his results since last August.
8/2 - Win at WGC Bridgeston
9/9 - Win at PGA
8/31 - Tie 2nd at Deutsche Bank
9/6 - Win at BMW
9/13 - Win at Tour Champ
9/27 -USA wins Pres cup (not sure how he did)
12/13 - Win at Target World Champs
1/24 - Win at Buick
1/31 - Win at Dubai
2/21 - Win at WGC Accenture
3/13 - Win at Palmer
3/20 - 5th at WGC CA Champs
3/24 - (I think his club won this - not sure how he did)
4/10 - 2nd at Masters
Maybe it just started to get worse recently but from the looks of things his performance hasn't suffered from it.

There is no off-season for him. He makes just as much money in the silly season as the regular season.

They said it's been hurting for about a year. October thru December looked open. Kapalua will miss him for sure.
