MplsBison posting on a thread about Field Turf. Who would of thought? I am just surprised that he has not brought up that he thinks that the NCAA should ban all natural grass fields for D-I shools.

U.S. looking at lead levels in artificial turf
TRENTON, New Jersey (AP) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is looking into the possible health hazards of lead in artificial turf installed at schools, parks and stadiums across the country.
Two fields in New Jersey were closed this week after state health officials detected what they said were unexpectedly high levels of lead in the synthetic turf and raised fears that athletes could swallow or inhale fibers or dust from the playing surface.

Astroplay is hardly a popular installation.
Nothing like what Astroturf was for the previous generation.
In any case, they'll find what's causing it an take it out. And then nothing will have changed. Turf will still be superior to grass.

One thing at a time. 750K for field (Playing Auburn and South Florida) for now. More FBS games next year for the stands.

Oh, its just because that's all yall have in ND. If kept right, grass is much better than turf, and its what FB is meant to be played on. I didn't get a pic, but I was at Furman last weekend, and the FB Stadium grass was literally perfect!

I agree. The playing surface at Paulson is flawless year round, able to drain a hurricane (proved during the 'Hugo Bowl') and completely NATURAL!

All Southern Football fans would agree (except the Appys)
