His dad apparently collapsed last night and is in critical condition, Chamberlain's sister called the yankees during the 8th inning and he talked to her after the game was over, he broke down in tears after talking to his sister.

YES has recently premiered a new show called, "YESterdays." It's a type of "This is Your Life" show featuring professional athletes.

The first show featured Joba Chamberlain and has been airing recently. You can't help but see just what a lovable kid Chamberlain is. It comes across from him, as well as all the guests from his past.

His father, of course, was a guest on the show. Seemed like just a nice, nice man who was incredibly proud of what his son has done. Hearing this news just a day after I saw the show makes this news particularly sad.
