So a construction worker placed a Sox t-shirt under the Yankee locker room floor? How is that a curse?

So the now the Yankees will both literally and figuratively continue to walk all over the Sox.xlolx

PS -- I left that comment on your blog too, because you say no one ever comments.xlolx

Ok. So now then all the other teams in the league will walk all over the Sox too.

Why should we be the only ones?

The only curse the Yankees are suffering from is the "Curse of A-Rod"
as I have mentioned before:

Paul O'neil: Quote
"He'll be The Greatest Player that Never Mattered"

and hence forth A-Rod has been a curse on any team he has played for...
He will achieve mountains of personal success while where he is employed will ultimately fail...

(The Curse is Real)

Not sure what you're talking about it or where the poll section is -- which is probably a good thing.

Ya they can say what they want, but do you think a Yankee staff member has been looking over the shoulders of construction workers everyday of the project to guarantee it didnt happen?

It probably wouldn't cost the Steinbrenners too much to rip that piece of cement up and replace it...

Ask the NY Post, they're the ones that invented this "curse". Not the Boston Herald, not Dan Shaughnessy and not Travis.

We need to be careful what we ask for. It has been stated that the Giants stadium has Mr. Hoffa, maybe Yankee's. If so that will explain the curse.

The New York Post reports this morning that the Sox jersey has been located and removed.

HAMMERING THE HEX: STADIUM HARDHATS UNCOVER SOX SHIRT (http://www.nypost.com/seven/04132008/news/regionalnews/hammering_the_hex_106315.htm)

Amazing that they spent five hours excavating and removing the concrete to remove the shirt!

Turns out the would-be hexer is a Sox fan with a criminal record. xcoffeex

It pisses off the fans, and the rest of us can sit back and watch as Yankees Nation falls apart at the seams.

Sounds like the Sox fan is a real winner...

As it turns out, Castignoli, 46, has been in trouble before. The hulking mason once pleaded guilty to involvement in a $40 million illegal gambling operation with ties to the Gambino crime family.

He was busted in February 2002 during a roundup of mob-connected gambling dens, according to the Brooklyn DA's Office.

If George has a spark, then Hank is on Fire!!!

But it was the betrayal of his borough that elicited Bronx cheers from many Yankee fans - including the new Boss, Hank Steinbrenner.

"I hope his coworkers kick the s- - - out of him," said George's boy, who now runs the team with his brother Hal.

Hank put no stock in talk of curses or in Castignoli's cruel bid to hex the Yankees' new $1.3 billion home.

A buried jersey, he reassured worried fans, means nothing.

"It's a bunch of bull- - - -," Hank said.

SF over at YF vs SF has suggested the Yankees may regret digging up the Ortiz jersey...

if he breaks out and goes 4-4 tonite with a couple homers, will they rebury the jersey in the concrete tomorrow? lol

Just to be safe, I was laying some concrete in my backyard today, and I placed an Ortiz jersey into the cement.xlolx

Per the official site

The Yankees plan to donate the jersey to charity, and may pursue a lawsuit against the construction worker.

I wouldn't laugh too hard there Trav. You are talking about serious business when you talk about burying something in concrete that was not designed to be there.

It sounds like it wouldn't have caused too many problems where he buried it, but it is still considered sabotage. And in a building where he was being paid to build safely.

There is precedent here (legally) so don't be too surprised if it goes through and the Yanks win the suit.

Yeah, and from the before and after pics in the NY paper on Saturday it looked like he tossed his damn empty water bottle in there too! GRRR, can't stand losers who muck up good concrete!!

The thing i find most humerous about this is inability shown by humans to keep their mouth shut and the need to tell someone about what they've done. Had this guy kept his mouth shut for 5 years or longer this would have been a much bigger story and actually more interesting.

Not to mention the guy had the stones to wear said jersey to work the entire day. What an idiot.
