Kats using break to prepare for SLC opener

At first glance on recent days, Bowers Stadium more resembles Fort Hood than it does Sam Houston State's football home.
Camouflage vehicles dominate the parking spots once occupied by Sam Houston State students. Rest assured, though, Bowers is still home of the Bearkats.
Things have been kind of quiet around the SHSU fieldhouse for several days. It seems like a lifetime since the Bearkats last took to the gridiron.
