Is it a suprise Corey Lynch's stock rose. If scouts knew enough about him i'd say he probably has the best natural instincts of any safety i've ever watched.

Most games i go see i just watch the ball. Watching App play I used to watch Corey Lynch play because he would always end up at the ball.

I agree. It's almost like he is in the head of the QB and WR at the same time. He must be reading signals a la Belichek. xlolx

Lynch may also be one of the greatest special teams players in collegiate history, which will be his true value in the pros in my opinion

That's how you make the team and hang on until a position opens up for you! xthumbsupx

how late do you think Lynch will get picked up?

My guess would be mid 6th or 7th round. What do you guys think?

Doubt he will get picked. Certainly an invite to camp.

This is a very deep draft and very good SoCon players have been left in the lurch even in thinner years. Teams only carry a couple of safeties.

Swami Says this will be Furman fullback from 2005.

Swami was correct! Jerome Felton has great effort in a losing cause. :D

By the way, if you see Ingle Martin again, tell him to watch his step. xsmiley_wix

Like Villanova's Ray Ventrone who made the patriots active roster late in the season and had a monster tackle against Domenik Hixon on the last drive of the super bowl thank god it was all for nought because as a Giant fan i would have a heart attack to know that a Villanova player had an effect on the end of the game

You guys can say 6 or 7 or not at all for lynch but he is rated as 4th or 5th on most boards

after watching this video of endless highlights, how is he not in atleast the 2nd or 3rd round?

hes got the size, speed, brains, coupled with his uncanny clutchness, and golden boy persona. all of these transcend level of play and competition. seriously, where is the downside? he had no business being in the FCS to begin with.

my guess is that he gets picked up late but slowly starts to make his way up the depth chart.. i think he performs better than his numbers show (even though his numbers aren't that bad)

I mean, it is a highlight film. I posted a video of him getting trucked by a guy that would be an average running back in the NFL.

Guys that dominate the FCS level don't get up in the 2nd or 3rd. Flacco will, but those are few and far between. He'll certainly get a camp invite (which is the route a lot of SoCon players are forced to go).

please post a better highlight video of another safety. for every time he gets "trucked" you can count a field goal block, 5 interceptions, and 15 broken passes.

Greg Blue. All american and first team all SEC safety at Georgia. Hardest hitter on one of the nastiest defenses in the toughest conference. Stands at 6'2 weighs 215 lbs. Taken in the fifth round by Minnesota.

I'm not saying Lynch won't get drafted. I'm saying he is no where near a second or third round pick.

Greg Blue was a bum. The guy couldn't cover a fullback at the safety position.

Yea so that is maybe as good a highlight video as the Lynch video but Lynch video is for a single season. The Greg Blue video covers his time at UGA and in the NFL. It is pretty easy to make an impressive highlight video spanning a few seasons, especially one that short. Lynch will get drafted. Earliest I could see him going is 3rd round but that would be rather surprising. I'd expect more like the 5th or 6th.
