Was in the back at the New Orleans Regional today and when this coach hit the dais, I thought he was nervous to speak infront of the media as the guy stuttered noticeably. Thought that was unusual for a big-time head coach and then a few members of the media began to ask about this below article.
My colleague, the moderator of the news conference didn't know this beforehand either (both of us had just met him briefly before he went on)
Neat story here. I respect this guy a whole lot and just wanted to share this great coaching story. Hope a few of you take the time to read this. The coach said that he's gotten a lot of e-mails from this story in a short period of time.
Good stuff...hope it encourages people that have problems with their speech to feel comfortable in positions in which they are in the public eye.
