Furman folk who were at the game, and who may have seen this game the past three years: How would you rate this Gardner-Webb team to 2003 and 2004, particulary on offense.
I realize that some of the D starters were out, but there were others in the game through the second and third quarters when GWU started to move it. Minus the secondary, which is weak by Furman standards (Cam Newton is missed bad), the "D" is still pretty good, particularly at LB.
I'm trying to find some positives from today's loss by GWU. I was very surprised at the offensive numbers and points after scoring only six in the previous two games.
