I call BS - Syracuse should have been no where near the next team in. There resume stunk worse than about 10 other teams.
And nowhere does he source this, or even hint at a source - just spec on his part.

I call BS on your BS call. I can make a case for the Cuse to be in the field ahead of about three teams that made it in. I won't though, cause I'm tired of talking about it with delusional Arizona St fans.
Besides, he does caveat his statement with "maybe the committee was trying to make up for last year".

Syracuse had a relatively weak OOC - best wins were Cornell, Siena and St. Joe's, all at home.
They lost to the other three bubble teams they played: Ohio State (in NY), UMass, and URI, both at home.
As is typicle for Syracuse, they played one road game OOC - beating a mediocre Virginia team.
Other than G'town, the Big East, while having a bunch of good teams, doesn't have any great teams. Couple that with a structure that allowed Syracuse to pad it's record with bottom feeders like Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall and Providence, Syracuse has a very weak case for a bid.

I don't know how weak their OOC was, since their SOS was 7th. And how was ASU's OOC? Two road games (both losses) isn't any better. So you beat Xavier.....big deal. That win is nearly cancelled by scheduling Florida Gulf Coast. Who the heck is that anyway?
I like the comment about padding with bottom feeders. Oregon St, Washington, Cal? And the Devils got to play each of those twice. That's six games.....compared to the four you mentioned.
As for the strength of the Big East, time will tell there, but for relative strength of conference, I'll take the Big East over the Pac-10 anyday.
Like I said, I'm done arguing this with delusional Arizona St fans. You win, so no need to respond.

Have you seen me arguing for ASU's inclusion? NO - they don't have a beef, either.
And if I wanted to argue with delusional griz fans, I could just go to egriz...

Sure, while ragging on the Big East and Cuse don't mention that the SU schedule was also ranked 7th in the country and featured 17 games against teams in the top 100, 11 against the top 50 and 14 against the top 51 (Villanova at 51). And their relatively weak OOC earned them the No. 48 non-conference RPI and 13th non-conf SOS. I'm not saying they should have got in, but it was because they needed one more win and had nothing to do with schedule.
