Glad to see Bob Green still at Montana Tech. I was at Rocky Mountain when he started there. Came to Butte from somewhere in Nebraska. I can still remember him yelling during pre game (I was up at the top of the football field in Butte and he was down on the field and I could hear him plain as day), "What a beautiful day. I LOVE it! I NEED IT!". Later, we got him to speak to a youth group when we were in Butte and I greeted him with the "Beautiful day, Coach", to which he answered, "Always a beautiful day. Living is a lot more beautiful than dying!"

Rumor was going around those first couple years that he got tired of his players complaining about the cold (supposedly about 10 degrees that day), so he stripped down to his underwear and ran the rest of practice like that. Crazy guy! Glad to see he is still with the Orediggers.
