Seems exams and financial issues forced Alabama A&M's hand as they canceled a road game at South Alabama. With all the crazy weather in the south, I bet South Alabama is not happy about this. Wonder if they'll ever schedule again with AAMU.
MOBILE, Ala. – Due to financial problems and conflicts with examination schedules, the Alabama A&M, South Alabama baseball game originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, has been canceled by Alabama A&M. No make-up date has been announced.
The Jags were expected to finish weekend action in Corpus Christi, Tex. and then finish the road trip against Nicholls State, before taking on AAM at Stanky Field on Wednesday afternoon. Although both sides are trying to reschedule the game, the compressed schedule, new for this season may not allow it.
South Alabama will take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Sunday, before heading to face Nicholls State on Tuesday night in Thibodaux, La. USA is currently 7-5 on the season, with Sun Belt Conference action starting next weekend as the Jags and Western Kentucky renew acquaintances.
