I have a hard time giving Cashman too much credit for getting Damon. There were a lot of Yankee pickups since 2000 that wreak of George, Johnny being one of them.

I'm sure Cashman will find someone else to buy to replace him.

thing is with the emergence of Melky Cabrera they really dont need Damon and at his price probably wish he was gone,.,.. 14 million for a 4th OF is something you would only see on the yankees.

Guy hits a foul ball off his foot, and they're holding him out for a few days because it's Spring Training. Non-story xrolleyesx

Nah, Matt's too busy saving Ben Affleck's ass against stuffy Harvard guys.

Damon is going to throw his back out sneezing this year. Only he would be held out and take every precaution with a ball off his foot.

Damon's not going to be mistaken for Lou Gehrig, but he's not Carl Pavano, either

It's Spring Training. They let Matsui rehab, they held out A-Rod and Jorge for sore muscles. These things happen. It's not as if these guys really need to get all the at-bats this time of year either. These games don't count. The only thing that matters for players of their age/experience is being ready on Opening Day

You want some stories to talk about? How about Phil Hughes having a very solid spring? How about the race for the bullpen? How about Shelley Duncan's spring hitting numbers? Heck, how about Duncan's other spring hitting? xeekx xwhistlex xoopsx
