Maybe as punishment they'll make the football team participate in the playoffs.

That penalty I could live with!xthumbsupx

The silliness is that Amaker is 8-20 so far this year with his predecessor's recruits. He's been the second coming of Satch Sanders.xrolleyesx Harvard hasn't made the postseason in men's hoops since the first baby boomer was born, and it's never won an Ivy title. But nobody's hung a coach in effigy yet. It's been the usual Harvard reaction: total indifference.xcoffeex Until something happens with the potential to embarrass the school. xrulesx Coach Sullivan ran a squeaky clean program, even though he never won anything.

Amaker is a horrible coach. He ran Michigan into the ground so bad that he was able to beat them early this year before his distruction of the Crimson was fully in effect.

But being a private school, and a non-scholi for athletics, Harvard can admit anyone they want and turn anyone away they want...there is no equality there, its up to them...so why the hell would you send your assistant out to play in oickup games or whatever...I would think you polish the Harvard Brass and see if they will 'allow' these guys into school, then let them play basketball

But you've gotta recruit so that they WANT to go there.

I love this, I really do. It's nice to see those egg-heads try and put together a winner. I read the NY Times article on this a few days ago. I guess the big concern is whether or not his recruits will qualify based upon Ivy League rules, although there's that whole "improper contact" thing, which sounds like something you need to register with the State over if you're convicted.

Regardless of low they decide to lower the academic bar for basketball players at Harvard, I'll still put my money on Harvard's "dumbest" bball player over Memphis' "smartest" player on Jeopardy.

Let Amaker cheat all he wants he is such a horrible coach it won't make a bit of difference, no matter what his cronie Jay Bilas has to say about him, the guy is an idiot! Yes I am a disgruntled Michigan fan.

Note to Harvard- You want to "steer" people to your school in Beantown, place a call to Norm Ostrin, street "handler" extrodanaire. See: Northeastern and Duquense.
