If that was Gabe Guerrero, then you saw two of his three catches on the season. Guy was a beast as a blocker in high school at Catholic-Baton Rouge

You're talking about Reshad Douglas who lined up at TE, QB, WR and SS. He's not slow by any stretch. Runs in the 4.5's at almost 6-4, 190. He'll play WR here.

Nice classxthumbsupx The quarterback at the end of the last video looks especially impressive. They must grow them on trees down there.

We appreciate the Lions granting us a game. We wish u would return the favor in '09 but we will take what we can get. Look forward to the trip!!

I expect nothing less. We have a new staff and some losses to overcome but I think we will be competitive. From what little scouting I've done on SELA they seem to be a young team who might be a bit better than their record showed. At least it seems that way by looking at the scores from 2007.

Thanks. I agree with you on the QB. You never know how they'll turn out until you get them on campus but I think we found us a good one.

As for the game, we look forward to having you down though I must admit that game makes me nervous. I saw North Dakota play on TV and was very impressed. I think you will do well in your transition, just as North Dakota State and South Dakota State has done. Best of luck other than when you play us!!!

We lost four seniors on the offensive line and graduated three LBs but overall, we were very young last year. By the end of the season, we were playing as many seven true freshmen at one time on defense, and probably played our best football of the year. Of our eight losses, four were by a touchdown or less and a fifth was tied with four minutes to play. I think we'll be much improved in '08 but you can say the same for the rest of the SLC.

Holy smokes!! Having to play a couple of true freshmen at one time is a lot much less seven at one time. What was the reasoning behind it if I may ask?

Bad recruiting back in 2003-04 by one of our previous head coaches (perhaps you're heard of him)

Not to mention we were recruiting heavily in Georgia during Dennis Roland's two years. The first year, his staff had a week to recruit and no list to work from and since he was from Georgia, he went where he knew the players. The second year, a good portion of our recruiting base was displaced by Hurricane Katrina and we went back to Georgia again. Nothing against those kids, but the further away from home, the more likely a kid is to quit the program if he doesn't contribute right away. We've had some success with Georgia players, but we're likely to have higher retention with kids from Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
