Money talks, and they let him walk. Probably another year or two in the tank for Bruce.

I just hate seeing a great player spend his entire career with one team only to retire somewhere else... Jerry Rice... Emmit Smith... etc.

At least Jerry go to do the "one day contract" and retired as a niner

That was nice at least, but the tail end of his career was really sad to watch. Hopefully things will work out better for Bruce, though that's doubtful with with the Niners QB situation.
