Dang! I was hoping that the stadium would implode in the 8th inning of that game, taking out both teams. Let my dream live Bill, sell your tickets to a YankeeFan.

I still cant believe the Sox and Yanks end the season in Boston.... very bad scheduling by MLB

I think they don't want the possibility of fans trashing the place.

If the Yankees are fighting for a playoff spot, the fans can't come out stealing seats and other souvineers two weeks before the season ends. But if the Yankees are eliminated by the last weekend of the season it could be utter chaos.

So they decided the Yankees would open 2008 at home; the Mets would close the season at home. (Who cares about Shea?)
