The Herzl/Rocky Mountain Hebrew Academy is one win away from a chance to play for a regional championship. Theres one problem though, the championship game is scheduled to be played on the Sabbath.

The team has asked for the game to be palyed on another day and the CHSAA Commissioner has rejected that saying if they wont play on the scheduled day another team will be chosen.

The State Senate took up the matter Wednesday urging the commisioner to reconsider.

The CHSAA has a rule the prohibits games being played on Sunday's for religious reasons.

The the CHSAA doesnt reconsider I hope the school sues the CHSAA.

Association there is dumb not to have provided for this - they already don't allow Sunday play for religious reasons. And this team could play on Saturday after sundown so why they couldn't have a later starting time is odd.
