Lehigh knocked off Bucknell tonight to pull into a FOUR WAY TIE for 'third place' with one game to play. American and Navy are tied for first at 9-4, but Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell and Colgate are all tied at 6-7. Holy Cross and Army are right behind at 5-8 each. Third and fourth place teams get home court in the first round of the league tournament. Lehigh plays Holy Cross on Friday night at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.

I want American to win the conference tourney. they have never been to the tourney. I wouldn't mind Army either the onlt other PL member that has never been there.

The shocker of this whole logjam of a season is that American beat Maryland (one of the last at large teams according to the Bracketology), but has 4 Patriot League losses and needs help to be the #1 seed in the tourny.

I like the fact that Lehigh's final game is first (Friday night, while the other three are on Saturday). Gives 'em a chance to put pressure on the others as homecourt advantage has proven to be HUGE in the PL tourny.

There's still a chance for a 6 way tie for 3rd through 8th! Not likely, and not that it really matters, as home court may not help too much anyway...

I did the breakdowns and posted them on the blog:

Whew! All I can really say for sure is that if Lehigh and Lafayette win, they are guaranteed home games.

Colgate scored a nice win over HC last night. We have played them for many, many years (going back to when they were a national power every year) and have not won very many, so beating them is always an achievement.
