Finally where he belongs! Maybe this will get me back excited about the NHL again.

Take it from a Flyers fan here, you may be disappointed. But if his ankles do hold up, I think he's got a "lotta hockey left." He's still an unbelievable passer.

Not sure I understand. I read he told the Flyers he wasn't ready to come back this year... not that he wasn't ready to come to Philly this year. xconfusedx xsmhx

I'm sure when Forsberg saw that his favorite linemate in Philly, Simon Gagne, was sent home for the season due to concussions that it helped him solidify his decision.
Plus, the Flyers had lost ten straight when he announced his decision (they did win in a shootout last night to move into a tie for the last playoff spot) and appear to be headed nowhere.
You can't ask for any loyalty out of Peter to the organization that traded him and 72 (or was it 73?) other players and a millions of dollars for the vaunted Eric Lindros.

This may be little more than his NHL "victory lap" with his old team that hoisted two Cups.
But if the ol' tootsies can last just a couple of months, it could make the difference between the Avs making the playoffs or not.
If the ankles falter again, though, it's a pretty expensive "Victory Lap" -- $5 million.

Adding Forsberg, and now Adam Foote? Looks like a little 90s nostalgia in Denver...

Yes, I think Forsberg saw the Flyers current condition and felt his best shot was elsewhere;however, I don't see him being very productive with his foot/ankle situation.
