Mina Forte-Ferguson, of Durham, N.C., said it happened to her son, Mike Johnson, 19, in his campus dorm room. Johnson heard a knock at the door about 4 a.m. Tuesday. The three men rushed in and pushed him onto his bed. They wrote “Mike + football = death” on his mirror, television and refrigerator, his mother said. They also stole items from his room.

The Florida A&M University football player who said he was threatened in his dorm and robbed by three masked men made up the story, according to FAMU Police Chief Calvin Ross.

Now, the player, Mike Johnson, 19, is being arrested on charges of filing a false police report and impeding a police investigation, Ross said. Johnson is being taken to the Leon County Jail.

The Florida A&M University football player who said he was threatened in his dorm and robbed by three masked men made up the story, according to FAMU Police Chief Calvin Ross.

Now, the player, Mike Johnson, 19, is being arrested on charges of filing a false police report and impeding a police investigation, Ross said. Johnson is being taken to the Leon County Jail.

This week, Johnson told FAMU police that three men burst into his Gibbs Hall dorm room, pushed him on his bed and wrote "Mike + football = death" on his mirror, television and refrigerator. He said they were armed and that they also stole items from his room.

The entire story was a fabrication, Ross said.
