So first Hank Steinbrenner says (http://www.nypost.com/seven/02192008/sports/yankees/hank__focus_too_muchon_yanks_98354.htm):
"I don't think they would want to be hollering too loud at Andy up in Fenway," Steinbrenner told The Post. "They had plenty of players doing this stuff, too. It's just that those players weren't mentioned in the Mitchell Report."
Then his brother, Hal, says (http://www.nypost.com/seven/02192008/sports/yankees/hal__steroids_werent_discussed_98357.htm):
"No, I will never concede," Hal says. "They've got a lot of talent, and [have] done very well the past few years, but let me put it this way: I don't think [they] wanted to play us in the ALCS. So I will concede nothing. I think we're better than [them]."
BRING IT ON BIOTCHES!

Simply hilarious.
Keep sweating the Red Sox, boys. We'll just focus on winning more titles in this millennium while you guys continue to say stupid things.

Are the Yankees still that relevant? They haven't been heard from since 2000, & meanwhile their archrivals have 2 rings & are the favorite again....

This gets my early vote for stupidest thread of the year...and even worse logical reasoning/analysis from smart posters.

Amazing how this rivalry has changed from the Yanks caring about titles and Sox being obsessed with the Yanks to vice versa.

They were asked about the Red Sox. The Yankees have plenty to think about, and don't worry, the World Series is still the priority. We can go 0-18 against Boston, but no one will care if we get the ring. Count on it xnodx

But ask yourself this question: Aside from that last statement (I think we're better than [them]), can you say any of that is wrong? xreadx xwhistlex

It hasn't changed at all. This thread was started by the biggest Red Sox homer in the universe(said with all the affection in the world T) His team just won the World Series and all he can think about is what the Yanks are saying. The Yanks are still in his head...We're coming for ya T....
