LSU QB Ryan Perrilloux has been suspended indefinitely from the team for unspecified reasons. He may miss spring practice. Will he be reinstated and will he play against ASU. http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/breaking/15741717.htmlASU?

Not sure why this is FCS news as I do not think he makes a major impact in the game, regardless if he plays or not...
Only big news would be if he ends up at another Baton Rouge school (i.e Southern). Wasn't he rumored to be heading to the SWAC at one point?

If the rumors I've heard are true I don't think this is going to do him in at LSU. What I've heard is that he missed some classes and team meetings because his father died.

The majority of the time when a player is suspended for "violating team rules" it is because they failed a drug test. Most of the time it is marijuana. Not saying this is the case, but it would be a good guess.

rudy, I know you're new to the board but this doesn't have anything to do with FCS. Mods, could you move this?

youre right, most of the time, but i think it might be cause he missed a few classes and team meetings following a his fathers death.....if thats the case, which i am no LSU expert, i doubt he'll miss much of anything..

If this were any quarterback from any other FBS school, I may agree that it is not appropriate for an FCS message board. But,,given that LSU opens the season against ASU, which IS the reignign champion of FCS,,then I think it is appropriate. There already exists a thread which 301 people have viewed about LSU playing ASU. Does this piece of information not pertain to this game? Did information about Michigan not appear on this board before last year's game with ASU? From the number of responses to this thread, it seems that others are interested.
And I am not new to this board.

This from the AP story on ESPN.com
With Perrilloux's status in limbo, that means junior Andrew Hatch, who began his career at Harvard, and redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee will move to the top of the Tigers' quarterback chart.

Do you really think they would suspend the kid cause his dad died? This HAS to be something else.

He was supposed to go to Grambling a couple of years ago.

Maybe he will transfer to Samford, and we will still see him.
