I'm not going to lie; I'd like to see them do it. I haven't seen a team score 100 points. I know it's a jerk thing to do, but considering the Red Raiders have already made themselves look like asses by saying that was their goal, then they have nothing to lose, so hopefully they'll get it.

Did the team say it was their goal or was it one 19-20 year old kid?

The QB did

That's right, it was the QB. I should've referenced that at the top. There is no honor in purposefully running up the score on an inferior opponent. The "Red Raiders" will be owned soon enough. Their head coach Leach is a classless puke.

Are their starters still in the game?

Knowing Leach (appropriate name) yes, they are still in the game and are likely passing on every flippin' down. :spank:

Looking at the TT stats tracker, it appears you're right, unless they have a QB in that hasn't thrown a pass or run the ball at all. It's still 56-0 in the 4th, they won't reach 100. Jerks.

Is this any different than SIU hanging 82 on D-II Union??

If you noticed SIU took their starters out midway through the 2nd quarter and our 4th string running back ran for 3 TD's. Sure you can try to keep the game respectable, but you can't ask players to stop trying. What SIU did is totally different and not once did you hear a player or coach belittle or make predictions on what the score would be. They credited Union for the game and said they were able to see some looks they haven't faced yet so it was good for them. WIU put up 98 on a D2 team last season and for there efforts went out and laid an egg against all the 1AA teams :)

I don't know. Did SIU keep their starters in when they knew that, barring God's intervention, they had the game won?

Yeah, I hacked into Leach's headset and said that if he didn't go a little easy on the Sycamores that I'd sick the mighty Peacocks of Upper Iowa on his azz!! :D

63-7 final.

Leach and Snyder should play each other in the Cupcake Bowl.

Leach is an azz. I promise you, our defense is not that bad. Ya'll think Leach caught some heat for hanging 80 on us? He had his starters in against us about 1/2 way through the third period. and was still throwing the ball in the 4th. Personally, I wasn't so mad about the 80 points they scored, but more about some of his actions. Namely calling timeout with 1:14 in the first half when they were already up 42-7 in order to get his starters back on the field before halftime.

They will get theirs in Austin in October and I am going to try and go to that game. HOOK'EM HORNS!!!
