Delaware got helped out by a pass interference or defensive holding call early in the drive. Riccio connected with Ingram on a few passes. Omar did the rest.
At the half....
Holy Cross 7
Delaware 7

Wow--guess Gilmore's rebuilding program has arrived earlier than anyone expected. So now October 8 (HC comes to Goodman) looks bigger than ever.
Mixed emotions here. Want my PL bretheran to uphold our 'honor' and strike one for the PL, but would be extremely jealous of the Crusaders doing what we were so close to....

Silva has been running really well for Holy Cross in the first half. He's got 60 yards on 11 carries. The HC offense is 4/8 on 3rd downs which has really helped them sustain drives.
Despite some decent field position Delaware hasn't been able to put many points on the board.

Yes, I have been disappointed with Delaware's offense so far.

HC defense is what's really suprising. Harvard moved the ball up and down the field on them last week. I figure there offense would put up some points.

9 TDs are great, but as a Hens fan I would like to see some others join in the action.

No doubt. Having a one dimensional offense is vulnerable. What if he actually has a bad game?

I was. I did not feel that UD had done well this year so far and one game was against a division II and the other against an unproven, unknown entity in Lehigh.

Especially with how poorly Lehigh played at VMI today.

Only from the standpoint that Delaware has yet to prove themselves as a solid team. Most Hens fans thought the offense was solid and that the D was suspect. Well, the O looks to need some work also. This game was widely viewed as a good tune-up before heading into A-10 play. It may end up as a testament to how young and inexperienced the team really is.

With such a young team I'm worried about every game! I did think that the Hens would be undefeated going into Homecoming when I'll make my annual trip to the Tub.

Congrats to Delaware on the win tonight. As you may know, the HC program has had some tough times in recent years, but we were respectable tonight and we see better days ahead.

Holy Cross was more than respectable tonight. They gave the Hens all that they could handle. The team seems to be playing well so far this year - maybe better times are ahead...
