Hens are big YSU fans today

Pitt coach Dave Wannstedt is not a favorite with Delaware fans and as a result... YSU will be picking up a little extra support from UD fans when they travel to Pitt today. Earlier this year the Hens had former Pitt backup QB Joe Flacco transfer into UD... but Wannstedt was so pissed by Flacco's leaving that he still refuses to release Flacco from that Pitt scholarship. As a result... even though Flacco transfered to a 1AA program... he has to pay his own way at UD and isn't eligible to play until next season. This seems to be a real 'no class' act by Wannstedt and hopefully it will be a move that won't go unnoticed by future Pitt recruits and their families. 1AA fans always pull for each other when we play a 1A... but YSU fans will have a little extra support today from the Hens when they take on Pitt and their petty and vindictive coach.

No, just means that it would probably get him an extra year of eligibility though.

I know that Mr. Chicken, but if that could also be one of the rulings the NCAA hands down, IF, they don't get to his appeal for this year.

From what I've read Flacco CAN NOT play this year... he is ineligible because Pitt has not given him a release. He probably would not have played much anyway... but Wannstedt's pettiness is causing Flacco to lose a year of eligibility.
