1st Round
1. San Francisco- QB Alex Smith, Utah, Jr., 6'4 217 4.70- great pick, future franchise player
2. Miami- RB Ronnie Brown, Auburn, Sr., 6'0 233 4.44- best player in the draft
3. Cleveland- WR Braylon Edwards, Michigan, Sr., 6'3 210 4.48- will be tough to sign but talented
4. Chicago- RB Cedric Benson, Texas, Sr. 5'10 1/2 222 4.55 - best back inside the 20
5. Tampa Bay- RB Carnell "Cadillac" Williams, Auburn, Sr., 5'11 217 4.40- possible bust
6. Tennessee- CB Adam “Pac Man” Jones, West Virginia, Jr., 5'10 183 4.31- thug who got over drafted
7. Minnesota- WR Troy Williamson, South Carolina, Jr., 6'1 1/4 198 4.38- great speed, excellent pick
8. Arizona- CB Antrel Rolle, Miami Florida, Sr., 6'0 1/4 197 4.49 - great player who fills a huge need
9. Washington- CB Carlos Rogers, Auburn, Sr., 6'0 1/4 196 4.44- fills a need, playmaker
10. Detroit- WR Mike Williams, USC, Jr., 6'4 1/2 229 4.56- great size, makes WR corp best in division
11. Dallas- DE/OLB Demarcus Ware, Troy, Sr., 6'4 246 4.50- solidifies the move to a 3-4 defense
12. San Diego- DE/OLB Shawne Merriman, Maryland, Jr., 6'4 1/2 272 4.66- freakish workout numbers
13. New Orleans- (via trade with Houston) - OT Jamaal Brown, Oklahoma, Sr., 6'6 316 5.02 - fills a need
14. Carolina- FS Thomas Davis, Georgia, Sr., 6'0 3/4 227 4.43- solid pick, physical and good tackler
15. Kansas City- OLB Derrick Johnson, Texas, Sr., 6'3 1/4 242 4.55- physical, creates turnovers
