Notre Dame picks up Jon Tenuta as assistant head coach for defense.
Wow. Best defensive coordinator in the land calling the shots...(even though corwin brown is still the in-name-only defensive coordinator) with one of the best offensive minds in the game today.
Notre Dame wins a national championship in the next three years. Period.

Jerry Moore does not retire and decides to return to appalachian state. ha
but seriously, ND did a fine job on this one. I might have to say Rich Rod to Michigan though. BIG improvement, maybe not.....BIG change, definately, shake things up a little in Ann Arbor, and they can get back in the top of the Big 10, and the country.

John Tenuta was a candidate for the GT head coaching job. He was passed over. He was then mentioned for the Marshall, LSU and GT defensive coordinator job.
Again he was passed over. Now he's going to ND to be a secondary coach. All those schools passing on him tells me something.
While he's a good coach, he is far from great. Trust me, I follow GT closely. When the blitz isn't working, the guy doesn't know how to adjust.
And decent teams, that have time to prepare, have shredded his defenses.
ie: giving up over 30 pts in his last 3 bowl games.
btw, I wish him well. I like the guy. When the blitz isn't working though the guy doesn't doesn't change anything. It became quite frustrating watching Tech once or twice a year get totally blown out. Games quickly got out of hand.

I will remember this statement.
I remember a lot of people making similar statements when I started the "I would bet my life that ASU wins the national championship thread" after we lost to Wofford early on in the season. xsmiley_wix
People laughed then too. xlolx Which was kinda the point because I wanted to inject a little laughter and deep thought into the boards...

Too bad there isn't an emoticon of a guy smoking some weed. That seems like it would be an appropriate response.

Weiss is average all day long. He was great when he had an NFL Hall of Famer at QB and 1st round pick in College. We'll see how good he is now....

I really hope not, I much prefer seeing ND ranked well below the top FCS programs and not having to listen to their fans. It really was a shame Duke couldn't get a win against them this year. That would have been perfect, the only thing better would be if they would schedule us.

Just my opinion but I think is ND scheduled us in 2007, we would have beaten them by at least 3 touchdowns.
